Operating with Confidence: Twenty years at Integra LifeSciences

To kick off this year's “Leadership in a Technological World” lecture series, Stuart M. Essig ‘83, President and CEO of Integra LifeSciences, will give a lecture titled: “Operating with Confidence: Twenty years at Integra LifeSciences” at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7th, in the Friend Center Convocation Room. Reception to follow in the Friend Center Atrium.

Inaugurated in the fall of 2006, the Leadership in a Technological World lecture series features successful leaders in technology, who offer a variety of stories and perspectives on the complex path to success in a rapidly changing world. The event is sponsored by the Keller Center for Innovation in Engineering Education and made possible by generous support from the William Pierson Field Lectureship Fund.

“I am honored to be a part of this series and to share the story of Integra’s growth and accomplishments,” said Mr. Essig.

Mr. Essig joined Integra in December 1997. Before joining Integra, Mr. Essig supervised the medical technology practice at Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a managing director. Mr. Essig had ten years of broad health care experience at Goldman Sachs, serving as a senior merger and acquisitions advisor to a broad range of domestic and international medical technology, pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

Mr. Essig also serves on the Board of Directors of St. Jude Medical Corporation and ADVAMED, the Advanced Medical Technology Association. Mr. Essig received an A.B. degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. degree in Financial Economics from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
