Presented by:
“Corruption Crackdown”
Speaker: Mark Gerber, Partner, PWC
Mark is a leader in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Forensic Services Group specializing in conducting forensic accounting investigations. He combines his unique experiences as a former Special Agent with the FBI, a CFO, and as an auditor providing advice to clients dealing with serious issues. Mark has special expertise in resolving GAAP and GAAS issues arising out of both intentional and negligence based accounting misconduct, which has proven decisive in potential restatement situations. Having worked extensively with the accounting enforcement staff at the SEC, Mark is regularly called upon to assist counsel and their clients in resolving complex accounting issues before the Commission, especially in matters where the alleged misconduct could extend liability beyond the civil enforcement arena.
Mark’s practice concentrates on conducting internal investigations on behalf of audit committees for boards of directors and senior management, oftentimes in concert with outside counsel when clients are
faced with significant allegations of financial fraud. Mark’s engagements are regularly global in nature and in the past four years Mark has worked in more than a dozen countries in South America, Europe, Asia and Africa while performing investigations. He is a recognized leader regarding Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) matters, leading global teams in FCPA investigations, compliance reviews and due diligence assignments.
Mark, a CPA, is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University and lives in Newtown, PA.
